Circus and Parade

Isn't that everyday?!?! It seems like that lately at my house... :) Really though, Nana and Papa took the kids and I to the Shriner's Circus in Hammond Thanksgiving weekend. The kids had a great time as you can see. We also went to the Lowell Light Parade that night. It was a lot of fun too! Enjoy!

Halloween 2008

Yes, it's that time of year again! The kids were absolute opposites with their costumes, but they both looked great. Olivia got lots of smiles and people saying "It's Dora!" Jacob also got lots of comments but his were all "Ooh! That's scary!" Olivia wasn't very interested in going up to the houses. She at one point said "I have plenty." :) Love the new vocabulary word!

We had a great day on Saturday going to the Speedway with the Scouts! Jacob had a great time doing all of the activities.

Tiger Cub Jake

Yes, it's official! Jake has followed the Anderson boys tradition and has joined Cub Scouts! He is extremely excited about his new adventure. He has had a meeting with his pack and tonight is going to his first den meeting. He is wearing his uniform for the very first time. Doesn't he look handsome?!?! :)

Not such a Laboring Day...

The Lowell Labor Day Parade is such a great tradition for our family. This year the weather was nice and hot. This was also the problem! We were burning up--literally! We decided that we need to find a new spot to sit next year where the sun won't be beating down on our fair selves. Here are some of the fun pictures that make this day so great...

Yes--the horse was walking as the man from our favorite Mexican restaurant was showing his roping skills! He NEVER got down and stood on the horse like this for probably a half-mile--maybe longer!

Fall Fun!

The kids went to Nana and Papa's house this weekend for fall fun! They went to a pumpkin patch and rode on the wagon that Papa built. The kids had a great time with them --as always! Unfortunately, the picture of Jake with his pumpkin doesn't show just how big this pumpkin really is!

Jake's a First Grader!

Jake started first grade this week! He goes to a brand new school called Reagan. His most interesting part is that one of his special classes is Chinese!

Our Own Tammy Faye!

Olivia is such a 'girly girl'. She loves to put on lipstick (Chap stick) and loves to have mommy pretend to put blush on her. She had just finished eating a sucker and went to wash her hands but instead she was putting on mascara! She did a pretty good job (which is very scary) considering that she can't see in the mirror in my bathroom! So, after the laughing was over about the mascara, we discovered that she had also sprayed cologne on herself too! We couldn't get her into the bath quickly enough!

Wheels Off!

One fun event that has happened in the last week is that Jake learned to ride his bike without training wheels! He has borrowed a neighbors bike which is a little smaller and lighter than his which made all the difference. Our next step is to get him used to riding his bike... Keep checking for updates!

BLAST!

The 4th of July was a BLAST! Olivia was quite funny with saying "Fireworks, BOOM, BOOM!" Jacob kept saying "This is the best 4th of July ever!"--although he will say that again next year! Here are some pictures of the night!

Summer Fun!

Olivia also had some fun playing in the sprinkler this summer! She wasn't too sure of it. We will have to use it more often to get used to it!



Jake and Olivia have had a great time this summer playing on the slide and swings! Olivia has even learned to climb the rock wall! They also enjoy playing with their friends Caleigh and Caleb.

Birthday Celebration Number 2

What a pretty princess! Olivia had a great time at her 2nd, 2nd birthday party! Grandma Linda and Grandpa LJ were here from Arkansas to celebrate with us today. They bought her this adorable princess dress and all the accessories--including earrings and high heel shoes! By the way, do you notice a similar pose in these pictures?!?!

We also celebrated Jake's 7th birthday which is just around the corner! He got great new items for his Nintendo DS--a neat backpack, (which will be great for his upcoming trip to Disney!) a Nerf case and and a 3 on 3 basketball game!


We also celebrated Allison's 17th birthday and Beth's 40th birthday! Oops, I mean 36th. Sorry, Beth.

It sure was a fun day of laughing and catching up!

Olivia's 2nd Birthday!
