Field trip

As I always try to do, I went on a field trip with Jake.  This year, they took a tour of downtown Indianapolis.  Unfortunately, the day was drizzly and cold.  We walked through a park and looked at different monuments and a fountain, then we walked past some important downtown buildings and Monument Circle before heading back for lunch.  It was fun to spend the day with Jake and his friends!

Down on the Farm

Olivia had an end of the year program for her preschool.  It was a farm theme and all the kids were asked to dress farm-like.  We decided that denim and khaki would do the trick--and also be wearable after the program!  She was a goose in the play--but they didn't have a mask for a goose, so her mask was a duck.  She had a line to say which was really cute--"Old McDonald had a goose. It ate his can of apple juice!"  She did a great job saying her line into the microphone.

10th Birthday!

Yes--my little baby turned 10!  I really don't know how time can go so quickly!  It seems like not long ago I was scared to death with what might happen to him being 8 weeks early.  Lucky for us, Jake has grown up to be a (knock on wood) healthy, happy child.

May 19, 2001--Jake at 3lbs 9oz and 17 3/4 inches long.

May 19, 2011--Jake at 81lbs and 4 foot 7 inches.

Happy Birthday to my baby! :) (He loves when I say that!)

MIA...

Yes, I know I have been MIA lately with this blog.  There wasn't too much going on throughout the end of February and into March, but since then, it has been a little busy!  Watch for more posts for the updates!

Spring Dance Recital

Olivia had her spring recital on Friday night.  She danced to a song called Personality, and boy did her costume live up to that name.  She had a great time being on the big stage at the high school.  Here are her pictures and a short video.

Olivia and all of the girls in her class.

My model daughter--just know that she does these poses by herself without any prompting! :)

I worked back stage with the girls, so I had a special location to watch them perform!

Olivia's dance teacher, Miss Nadia.

Olivia with Nana and Papa who drove down just to watch her perform.

This is just a little part of her show.
Olivia is all the way at the far end of the line of girls--so the last girl on the right side of the video.
They were so cute!
