Grandma Betty Noodles

We had a great time at our first attempt at making Grandma Betty Noodles!  The day was a blast, except Jake coming down with the flu again.  The noodles turned out really well!  We are planning on making them again--when no one is sick and we have all the right pieces of equipment!

Hark the Herald, Olivia Sings...

Olivia was an angel in her pre-school Christmas program!  She was one of four girls who had that part.  They had some speaking to do together and then they sang "Hark the Herald".  I didn't get the best pictures but I did get a couple.

Go Heat!

Well, it is officially basketball season!  Jake is on the Heat this year, which is great since they are ORANGE!!  Chris is again coaching and has a good friend, Bobby,  as the assistant coach.  We know several kids on the team this year from last years team or from football and then Austin (Bobby's son).  They had their first game today and won 12-4.  The best part was that Jake made a basket!!  He is super excited about the season!  Watch for more posts later!

Circus, Circus, Circus!

During our Thanksgiving weekend in Lowell, we went to the circus again! This is the third annual event with Nana and Papa! A great time was had by all--but Olivia the most.  She REALLY enjoyed the music that they played and watching all the different acts.  She got her face painted and rode the elephant!  We look forward to another great time next year!

Olivia getting her face painted!  She liked it--for the first half of the circus, then wanted it taken off.

 Riding the elephant!

Jake with his favorite part of the day--eating popcorn!

Here are some of the neat things we saw...

A tiger walking on a tightrope!

A man THROWING AND CATCHING these pots!  He also turned around without the pot turning

 Jugglers...
and MEGA hula-hoopers!

Thanks for a great time, Nana and Papa!

Being Thankful

Each year we are so happy to get to spend the holidays with our family members.  This year for Thanksgiving, we were at Aunt Lorna and Uncle Freddie's house.  It was great to see them since it has been a long time.  My cousin and his wife and their children were able to come this year too along with my Grandpa Anderson.  We had a great time!  Here's some of the proof...

Beth with her awesome turkey cupcakes!  These were handmade from caramels!

Diva!

What can I say... My daughter is a diva!  She was getting ready to go to her dance class on Wednesday night and she decided that she wanted to wear her red headband and red shoes along with her leotard and skirt.  I obliged and thought she looked so cute that I would have to get some pictures.  This is the way she wanted me to take her picture...  I did not pose her...

There are more of those, but this one was definitely the cutest of them. So then I took some regular ones...

I do have to admit though...  her own pose was the cutest picture of them all.

All-Star Jake

Jake played his first All-Star games this week.  They played on Nov. 2 against Western Boone and won 30-0.  They played again on Thursday and lost to Noblesville 0-6.  Today they had the first game in the official tournament and faced Westfield.  We won 6-0!  We will now play again on Wednesday evening but we don't know yet who we will face.  Here are some pictures of the exciting season!
