More football fun!

We have been very busy with football lately!  Last weekend, their football league was invited to walk on the field at the high school game and make a "tunnel" for the varsity team to run through.  Jake really enjoyed doing that.

 Jake is the green jersey on the right.  The one with the backwards hat and shorts! :)

 
The next morning, the Jets team defeated the only other undefeated team in the league!  The boys then were invited to the assistant coaches house for a pool party to celebrate!   

Had to take and post this one--the Bengals coach with tiger striped socks!!! 

Then this week was the most exciting!  

JAKE MADE THE 3RD GRADE ALL-STAR TEAM!!! 

 

 We are so proud of him!

Saturday afternoon the Jets took on the Saints and we won again!  That makes us 5 and 0!  The bad part of this game was that it was late in the afternoon after quite a bit of rain.  Right after his game (about 45 minutes after the end of his game) he had his first All-Star team practice!  We obviously couldn't change his clothes since he only has one pair of football pants and he was going right back to the same field but we wanted him to rest and get a bite to eat.  I banned him to the entry way. He was THRILLED!

Can you imagine the amount of stain remover was used this weekend?  12 teams times around 12 kids per team...  YUCK!  I think multiple washes might also be necessary!  Oh, the life of a football mom!
